Erin has worked with Metro-Vancouver nonprofits and schools delivering impactful environmental education for the last fifteen years in roles such as: program designer and manager; executive director; consultant; workshop facilitator; and collaborator. Erin joined SPES in August 2019 and manages SPES’s education programs, including our school field trips, youth urban camping, public and private walks, special events, and Nature House exhibits. She has formal and/or informal training in adventure tourism and guiding, environmental education, system change, and personal and organizational leadership. Erin is excited to join SPES’s dedicated knowledgeable team in providing opportunities for youth and community members to foster a meaningful reciprocal relationship with the urban wild and hopes to nurture innovation, creativity, and capacity.
In her spare time, Erin can be found befriending birds and other wild ones, canoeing rivers or exploring mountain tops, participating in indigenous ceremonies, activism, drumming, connecting with diverse community, and collaborating on education and climate initiatives.
